Tab Group Manager does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data or information.

Data Storage

Tab Group Manager uses Chrome's built-in storage API (chrome.storage.sync) to save your tab group rules and configuration. This data includes:

• Tab group rules (URL patterns, group names, colors)
• Rule enable/disable status
• No personal information or browsing history

This data:

• Is stored only on your device
• Is synced across your Chrome browsers (if you have Chrome sync enabled in your browser settings)
• Is never sent to external servers
• Is never shared with third parties
• Is never used for advertising or analytics

Permissions

Tab Group Manager requires the following permissions:

• tabs: Required to access tab information and organize tabs into groups
• tabGroups: Required to create and manage tab groups
• storage: Required to save your rules configuration
• <all_urls>: Required to check URLs of tabs to match against your rules

The extension only uses these permissions for their stated purpose: automatically organizing your tabs into groups based on your configured rules. No URL data is collected, logged, or transmitted.

Third-Party Services

Tab Group Manager does not use any third-party services, analytics tools, tracking scripts, or external APIs. The extension is completely self-contained and operates entirely within your browser.
